Bathroom Tile Patterns - Some Ideas For Decorating

The number of bathroom tile patterns is on the increase but the wonderful effect created by these new types should justify the extra time spent searching. The huge range of patterns available can delay the start of the project but should be worth it in the end. Cost is always an issue, but there are many designs available and at all price ranges. Of course there are favorites and four bathroom tiles designs spring to mind: the famous harlequin style, marble, stone and the more contemporary colored tiles.

If you don't know what the harlequin bathroom tile looks like; imagine a white tile that has smaller black diamond shapes in a grid like pattern imprinted on them and you have the harlequin style. Sometimes these tiles are available in other colors but the traditional black and white oblong tile is the most popular and effective.

But it is the classic white tile with small black squares which is my favorite bathroom tiles design.  It has a much cleaner look and is normally available without having to place a special order. Whilst the style will go with many bath types and polished fixings, it is when they are used in combination with a traditional bath tub that the best effect is seen.

Although this gives a stunning effect, chrome is renowned for leaving fingerprints so may require daily cleaning. This is something particularly relevant if you have young children, so may not be the best style for you.

Although wall and floor tiles can be very expensive, by using a reasonably priced bathroom tile as a base for the overall pattern you are going to save money. You can add a little character and spark to your bathroom tile decorating with more expensive tiles here and there which will get you a rich look at a fraction of the cost.

No matter what bathroom tile pattern you choose you probably want to consider investing in a professional for installation. Of course you will save a great deal of money if you carry out the tiling yourself but if there are problems it will waste time, and if then you have to bring in a professional, it will cost considerably more to finish your bathroom remodeling project.
